Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 01/13/2020 from 12:45 pm - 2:10 pm. At the time of entrance there were eight children in care with the provider. The ages of the children counted for a total of 25 points. A second caregiver arrived at approximately 12:50 pm.
Children were observed during nap. During the inspection the inspector observed the provider change the diaper of one infant and the assistant feed one infant a bottle.
Records were reviewed for seven children, two caregivers and two household members.
One violation was observed and is listed on the violation notice.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-570-A
Description: Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure that a caregiver does not exceed 16 points.

Evidence:
1. The provider was alone with a group of eight children when the inspector arrived at 12:45 pm. The ages of the children in care counted for a total of 25 points.
2. A second caregiver arrived at approximately 12:50 pm.

Plan of Correction: My plan is to make sure that my assistant is in the daycare at all times and not on a break outside of the daycare.
