Technical Assistance:

Discussion on qualifications for staff, outdoor play area, fire prevention. Discussed documents required to complete the renewal application.

Comments:

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today approximately 11:23 am to 1:20 pm. There were 7children, totaling 14 points, directly supervised by 2 staff. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 3 children?s records, children's nutrition, supplies, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. The children were observed in free play, outdoor play and lunch. Hand washing was observed during the inspection. There were age appropriate materials for all children. Description:	Based on staff interview and observation, the family day home did not have written emergency preparedness and response plan. Evidence: The staff member did not have a written emergency preparedness and response plan
Plan of Correction:	Will print out the form and fill over the weekend and post in the office.
Standard #:	22VAC40-111-920
Description:	Based on observation, the posted menu did not meet the requirements. Evidence: The menu for snack was not given to parents, posted or placed in an area accessible to parents.
Plan of Correction:	Will create menu over the weekend and post on the freezer for the month.
Standard #:	22VAC40-111-60-B
Description:	Based on children's record review, 1 out of 3 records did not contain results of the health examination for the child. Evidence: Child #2 began care 1/02/2020, no health exam was found for this child.
Plan of Correction:	Put in child's cubby for parents to take home and return.
