An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 12:30pm-2:30pm. There were 6 children (24 points) in the direct care and supervision of 2 caregivers. A sample size of 4 children's records, 4 caregiver/household member records, evacuation drills, and the daycare space were reviewed. The children were observed drinking their bottles, having their diapers changed, being sang to and rocked to sleep. If you have any questions, please contact me at shahana.green@dss.virginia.gov . Standard #: 22VAC40-111-960-B Description: Based on observation, infants who cannot hold their own bottles were not held for bottle feeding.
Evidence:
1. Child #1 was observed to be sitting in a highchair drinking from a bottle that was propped on a blanket.Plan of Correction: The blanket was removed and the infant was held for the remainder of the bottle feeding during the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-60-B Description: Based on a review of children's records, 1 out of 4 records reviewed did not contain the required information.
Evidence:
1. Child #2 was missing an address for 1 of 2 required emergency contacts.Plan of Correction: I will ask the parents for the address.
