Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included physical environment, record keeping, bottles and landline phone.

Comments:
An unannounced inspection was conducted from 2 - 3:45 pm today. There were 7 children present for 25 points with the provider and two assistants. I observed the end of naptime; preparation for snack and bottles; diapering and quiet play. The new space allows for more area for learning centers, and it is filled with age appropriate materials. If you have any questions, please contact me at brenda.kuhlman@dss.virginia.gov

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280
Description: Based on observation during today's inspection, some hazardous items were observed to be accessible under the diapering table.
Evidence:
The bottle of bleach solution and deodorizer were observed to be stored under the diapering table on a shelf accessible at child height.

Plan of Correction: We will build a shelf to put above the diaper table to keep diapering supplies. For now, they will be stored in another place.
