An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 11:50am-1:30pm. There were 9 children (24 points) directly supervised by 2 caregivers, the provider arrived at the Family Day Home approximately 15 minutes after the inspector arrived. The home, 3 staff records, 5 children?s records, 1 household member?s record, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely eating lunch and napping. Diapering procedures were also observed. There was an adequate supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice.

Caregiver#2 changed four diapers during the inspection, the caregiver did not wash their hands after completing each diaper change. A total of four consecutive diaper changes were observed and neither included hand washing before or after each diaper change.Plan of Correction: Went over diapering.

Two unused electrical outlets were observed without a protective cover in the programming area.
