A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 3/6/20 to review
supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 5 children (13 points) with the provider and one caregiver. A sample of 5 children's records and 4 caregiver/household member's records were reviewed. The children were observed playing with blocks, play dough, reading books, and identifying colors and shapes. Handwashing and lunchtime was also observed. The physical space, emergency supplies, evacuation drills, attendance records, and the Emergency Preparedness Plan were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
