Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.

A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 05/01/2020. The provider contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There was 1 child resent and 1 caregiver. The inspector emailed the director/provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 1 child's records and 2 caregiver records submitted by the licensee to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A
Description: Based on a record review the licensee did not ensure emergency evacuation procedures were practiced monthly.
Evidence:
There was not a monthly fire drill documented for the month of April. The Licensee confirmed that a fire drill had not been done in April.

Plan of Correction: The following corrective action was provided by the licensee during the inspection.
Evidence:
There was a lot going on this month and did not get a chance to conduct one. This was an oversight.
