This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 5/5/20 and concluded on 5/7/20. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 0 children present in care. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and one violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-90-C Description: Based on a review of children's records during this virtual inspection, it was determined that the provider did not obtain an updated shot record at least once every 6 months for all children under the age of 2 years.
Child B is 2 years old (DOB 5/2018) The most recent shot record in the child's file was completed at age 12 months. The provider did not obtain an updated shot record at age 18 months.
Plan of Correction: The child is not currently in care. When she returns, I will ask the parent to bring a new shot record.
