This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote control, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/22/2020 and concluded on 05/22/2020. The provider was contacted by video call to conduct the inspection virtually. There were no children present and two providers. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed two children's records and two staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The licensing inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
The provider's responses for the 'plan of correction' were not received as of 06/02/2020 and will not appear on this Violation Notice.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A Description: Based on documentation review and interview on 05/22/2020, the provider did not ensure the emergency evacuation procedures shall be practiced monthly.
Evidence: 1) The licensing inspector observed the emergency evacuation practice log indicated no evacuation drill was practiced in April 2020. The last documented evacuation drill was documented on 03/11/2020. 2) The provider reported an emergency evacuation drill was not practiced in the month of April 2020.Plan of Correction: Not available online.
