Comments:

A monitor inspection was initiated on June 4, 2020 and concluded on the same day. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the virtual inspection. There were 5 children present and four household members/caregivers. The inspector reviewed a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed two children?s records and two household records during the remote virtual inspection to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Description:	Based on record review and interview the provider failed to ensure that a central registry background check is obtained within 30 days of a person in the home becoming 14 years old. Evidence: 1 - Resident 1 does not have a central registry background check on file in the family day home today. a. Resident 1 turned 14 years old on July 26, 2018. b. Resident 1 was present and providing direct care to children in the home on the day of the inspection. 2 - The provider stated that she had not requested a central registry background check for a 14 year old child living in the home.
Plan of Correction:	The provider will obtain a central registry background check for resident 1 as soon as possible. The provider understands that within 10 days of today documentation that the background check has been requested will be sent to the inspector. Additionally, within 10 of receipt of the requested background check a copy will be sent to the inspector.
