The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Discussion that while there have been no children in care since mid-March, the Family Day Home (FDH) has remained open and ready to provide child care. Currently, the (1) child still enrolled is set to return in late September. An on-site inspection conducted 03/13/2020 observed (2) children.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on 08/20/2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children present and (1) staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed (1) staff record, and (1) household record submitted by the family day home to ensure documentation was complete. A total of (2) children records were reviewed during a previous inspection conducted on 03/13/2020. These same children have not been in care since mid-March.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were cited.
