Technical Assistance:

The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A (monitoring/renewal) inspection was initiated on 09/01/2020 and concluded on 09/09/2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 2 children present and 1 caregiver. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 1 child record and 3 caregiver records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Description:	Based on observation the provider did not have all required emergency supplies. Evidence: The provider did not have a working portable battery-operated weather band radio, and extra batteries
Plan of Correction:	The following corrective action was given by the provider during the exit interview: The provider had a radio but the batteries would not work. A weather band radio will be purchased with batteries.
