Discussed with the provider that while masks are not required in child care, the essential guidance issued by the Department of Social Services, based on CDC recommendations, states that children over 2 years of age should wear masks when physical distancing cannot be maintained, as a best practice.
- Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/16/2020. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were four children present with the provider, ranging in age from 11 months to three years of age, for a total of ten points. The Inspector reviewed two children's records, two household member records, two emergency medications, hand washing procedures, enhanced cleaning and sanitizing of toys and surfaces, meals, and daily indoor and outdoor activities. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
