This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on December 8, 2020 and concluded on December 8, 2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were six (15pts)children present and two staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed two children?s records, three household records, and two staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-A Description: Based on record review and interview, the provider did not practice monthly emergency evacuation procedures as required.
1. There was no documentation of a fire drill for the month of October. The Monthly Fire Evacuation Drill Record was logged for the months of September and November, but a drill was not performed for the month of October.
2. The provider stated that she forgot to perform a drill in October.
Plan of Correction: Provider will conduct and log a fire drill today to make up for the missed October drill. Moving forward, the provider will ensure that a drill will be conducted.
