Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was initiated on February 3, 2021 and concluded on February 4, 2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were nine children present and two staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed two children?s records and two staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Description:	Based on review of caregiver records, the provider did not obtain a minimum of sixteen clock hours of training annually in areas relevant to their job responsibilities. Evidence: The training log for caregiver #2, had documentation of two hours of training completed during the time frame of May 31, 2019 through May 30, 2020 when 16 hours was required.
Plan of Correction:	Per the provider: I was confused as to the time frame for my training. The inspector gave me a new training log sheet with the correct dates for me to obtain my training.
