Provided consultation on:
1) Subsidy Standard 530: Allergy Action Plans - A written allergy care plan is required for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.
2) Subsidy Standard 500: Provider shall maintain a written list of allergies, sensitivities and dietary restrictions; provider shall ensure all caregivers are informed of children's allergies, sensitivities and dietary restrictions
3) Subsidy Standard 780 - Lockdown procedures must be practiced annually
4) Within 90 days of hire, all staff must complete the Virginia Preservice (10 hour) Training for Child Care Staff. The (3 hour) Virginia Annual Health and Safety Update Training must be completed within 1 year from the date on the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff certificate.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted 2/22/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were ten children present with two caregivers supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
