This initial inspection was conducted virtually by licensing staff, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
An announced initial inspection was initiated on March 1, 2021. The family day home and all areas for child care were toured virtually. Some items reviewed during the inspection included: required posted information, parent pick-up procedures, emergency maps and procedures, first -aid kit, emergency supplies, outdoor play areas, materials/toys for children and one provider and one household member record.
A recommendation will be made for an initial six-month conditional Family Day Home with a capacity of 12 children and an age range of birth through twelve years 11 months. There were no violations noted during the inspection.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
