Technical Assistance was offered regarding: materials and toys used for children.

Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was initiated on and concluded on 3/4/21. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 6 daycare children and 1 resident child (total of 15 points) and 1 caregiver present. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records, 1 caregiver, 2 household members, and 1 household pet records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. A virtual review was conducted to assess health and safety measures, including the bathroom, crib used for an infant and emergency supplies. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. Standard #:	22VAC40-111-800-B
Description:	Based on records review, the provider did not review the emergency plan at least annually and update the plan as needed. Evidence: The emergency plan was last updated on 11/19/19. It was not reviewed after that date.
Plan of Correction:	The plan will be reviewed and the date will be documented.
Standard #:	22VAC40-111-830-A
Description:	Based on record review and staff interview, the emergency evacuation procedures were not practiced monthly. Evidence: The emergency evacuation drill log did not have documentation of a drill for February 2021; and the provider confirmed that she did not practiced a drill for that month.
Plan of Correction:	I will do a make up drill in March.
