Comments:
This inspection was conducted by staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An on-site inspection of the home was not conducted at this time however, a portion of the inspection included a virtual component which allowed the inspector to observe the daycare areas of the home.

An announced monitoring inspection was conducted at 2:00pm. The provider was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection, and given a list of items required to complete the inspection. There were 3 children = 3 points with the provider. The daycare was sufficiently supplied with toys and equipment for children today. Required documents were posted in the home. Information gathered during the inspection determined there was an area of non-compliance with applicable standards or laws reviewed. Questions about this inspection may be directed to pamela.sneed@dss.virginia.gov

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-280
Description: Based on observations made, it was determined that a potentially poisonous cleaning supply was accessible to the children. Evidence: A container of household cleaning wipes was on the bathroom sink and within reach of children.

Plan of Correction: The provider will keep all cleaning supplies in a locked location when not in use.
