This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection was initiated on March 12, 2021 and concluded on the same day. The Provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. At 4 PM, there was 1 child present and 3 staff. The Inspector was able to observe the pickup procedures and talk with the staff. The Inspector reviewed a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 3 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. The Provider had files for the enrolled children and maintained files for the staff.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with an applicable standard and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility or the program. Please call with questions 703-479-4679

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-830-D Description: based on interview and record review, it was determined the Provider could not locate the maintained record of emergency evacuation drills for the past year.
Evidence:
1. The Provider was able to show the Inspector the shelter in place drills for the past year but when asked to view the last year's record for evacuations , she was unable to locate the record.Plan of Correction: I will keep the records for emergency drills in one place as I have conducted the drills.
