This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on 03/15/2021 and concluded on 03/15/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 2 children present and 1 staff. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy regulations that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with subsidy regulations, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-230-H Description: Based on the provider's statement, the required annual update training (3 hours) was not done in 2020. Plan of Correction: I will take the online class as soon as possible.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-410-A-3 Description: Based on a review of drill documentation, no lock down drill was documented in 2020.
Evidence:
Provider stated she did not completely understand the lockdown process and documentation of the drills.Plan of Correction: The process for the lock down drill is the same as my Shelter-in-place drill. I will practice an extra Shelter-in-place drill for this year and document it on the form.
