The provider was reminded of additional background checks and screenings that will need to be completed for a household member that will be turning 18 years of age before the end of the year.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 3/25/2021 and concluded on 3/31/2021. The Provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 3 children present with 2 staff. The inspector emailed the Provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 2 children?s records, 2 caregiver records and 3 household member records submitted by the Provider to ensure documentation was complete.
The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or laws and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The licensing inspector has reviewed with the Provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-100-A Description: Based on record review and interview, the provider has not obtained documentation of a physical exam for each child within the first 30 days of attendance.
Evidence:
1. Child #1 (date of enrollment: 2/1/2021) record does not contain a physical exam.
2. Child #2 (date of enrollment:10/12/2020) record does not contain a physical exam.Plan of Correction: I will talk to the parents and request that they bring this document as soon as possible.
