The provider was reminded that they are required to notify both the local health department and their licensing inspector if there is a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the program.
The provider plans to take an extended vacation over the summer - provider and LI had an in depth conversation about the substitute caregiver requirements. The provider was reminded that they can be away from the licensed program for a cumulative 240 hours per calendar year.

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 3/29/2021 and concluded on 4/1/2021. The Provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 6 children present with 2 staff. The inspector emailed the Provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records 2caregiver records, 1 household member record and 1 medication and authorization submitted by the Provider to ensure documentation was complete.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
The licensing inspector has reviewed with the Provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
