Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on April 26, 2021 and concluded on the same date. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 2 children present and 1 staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records, 1 staff record and 3 adult household member records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #:	22VAC40-111-830-B
Description:	Based on record review, the provider did not practice shelter-in-place procedures. Evidence: The provicder stated she conducted the drills but there is no documentation.
Plan of Correction:	I will write down when I do the drills.
Standard #:	22VAC40-111-80-C
Description:	Based on record review and interview, the provider did not document in the child's record the method of verification of the child's age and identity. Evidence: The provider did not have documnetation of viewing Child'3 age and identity.
Plan of Correction:	I will make sure to document in the child's record.
Standard #:	22VAC40-111-510-A
Description:	Based on interview and observation, a child was no provided with an individual rest area. Evidence: During the virtual inspection, Child 1 was observed to be playing on a soft padded area also utilized for sitting and playing with children. The provider stated that Child 2 sleeps in the same area.
Plan of Correction:	I will make sure the children have their own individual places to sleep.
