Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An unannounced renewal inspection was initiated on April 29, 2021 and concluded on April 30, 2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection at 11:30 a.m. A virtual inspection was conducted with the provider via video conferencing. There were 11 children present ages 6 months through 5 years old for a total of 29 points with 2 staff. Older children were observed during transition time after lunch. Two infants were observed having playtime on the floor. The program, child care areas, supplies and materials were observed. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed three children?s records, two caregiver records, one household member record and two pet records for cats submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. The provider completed 17 hours of annual training for the license year. Emergency drills were documented and up to date. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
