Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An announced monitoring inspection was initiated on May 14, 2021 and concluded on May 14, 2021 to complete a modification of the license as the provider has moved to a new home. The provider was contacted by video call to initiate the inspection and a virtual inspection began at 10:25 a.m. A walkthrough of the entire home was conducted. The childcare is designated in the fully finished basement of the home. Childcare areas and supplies were observed. The child care areas are well organized and there are ample supplies and materials for the requested capacity of 12 and age range of birth to twelve years old.There were no children present so not all standards could be reviewed. Emergency evacuation maps and required emergecny phone numbers are posted. Emergency supplies were reviewed including several first aid kits, a battery operated flashligh and battery operated radio. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
