The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An initial inspection was concluded on 05/17/2021. The in-charge person was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. The inspector emailed the in-charge person a list of items required to complete the inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.

Description:	Based on observation the licensee did not ensure all small electrical appliances were unplugged. Evidence: In the kitchen the following appliances were overserved in electrical outlets and not in use: toaster, toaster oven and water warmer
Plan of Correction:	The following corrective action was provided by the licensee: All small appliances were unplugged during the inspection.

Description:	Based on observation the licensee did not have child protective covers on all electrical outlets. Evidence In the kitchen there were 5 electrical outlets that did not have a protective cover.
Plan of Correction:	The following corrective action was provided by the licensee: Protective covers will be placed on all outlets.
