This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 5/14/2021 and concluded on 5/17/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were no children present and 1 staff present during the inspection. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed one household member record, one staff record, and two children's records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.

Standard #: 63.2-1720.1-A Description: Based on record review and discussion with the provider, the provider failed to obtain a fingerprint background check prior to employment or beginning to serve as a volunteer and every five years thereafter.
Evidence:
1. The record for Staff #1 contained a background check/fingerprinting dated April 12, 2016. The provider verified that this was the most recent fingerprinting.Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
