The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the Provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Provider has sent for updates to background checks - CPS check, and fingerprint checks. This inspection was scheduled in advance of these checks and shall be reviewed by the LI once they have been received.
- Comments:

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A initial inspection was initiated and concluded on 06/04/2021. The Provider was contacted through a virtual platform to initiate the inspection. There were (3) children present, (10) points, with (2) caregivers. The Inspector reviewed (3) children?s records, (2) staff records, and (1) household record submitted by the Family Day Home (FDH) to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined that there was (1) non-compliance with an applicable standard and was documented on a Violation Notice issued to the FDH.

Standard #: 22VAC40-111-770 Description: Based on observation, a working portable battery-operated weather band radio was not available for review.
Evidence -
1. On the date of inspection (06/04/2021), the radio observed on site was a working portable battery-operated AM/FM radio.
2. The Provider confirmed this observation on the date of inspection.Plan of Correction: The Provider stated that one shall be ordered online.
