This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection to complete a modification due to the provider moving was initiated on 7/30/2021 and concluded on 8/2/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were no children in care but the provider is expecting 5 children and her assistant starting on 8/3/2021.The zoning official has approved 7 children. The revised emergency preparedness plan and chimney inspection was reviewed. The fireplace has been permanently boarded off from use. No records were reviewed. The inspector observed the area that will be the future childcare, it is an attached garage that is being renovated. The provider will move to that area once the construction has ended and the building official approved the area for use. The 2 level house was inspected, the temporary childcare is located on the main floor. The space looks adequate for the 5 children in care. Cribs are available for napping, toys, cots, gates, child proof locks on bedroom door knobs and changing table with step on trashcan was observed. A mandated monitoring inspection will be completed within the next month once the provider is in the permanent childcare area.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
