This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contact, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on August 23, 2021. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. Seven children and one resident child, ranging in ages from 2 months to 3 years (23 points) were present and in the care of the provider and two assistants. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Two children's records, the provider's record, two assistants' records and two household members' records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Corrections were made to this inspection and this Inspection Summary on 11/12/2021.

Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-5-a Description: Based on review of household members' records and verification from the provider, one household member had not obtained a Child Protective Services Central Registry Check within 30 days of turning 14 years-old.
Evidence:
1. The record for Household Member #2 did not contain the results of a Central Registry Search. Date of birth for Household Member #2 was 04/17/2007.
2. The provider confirmed that she had not requested a Central Registry Search for Household Member #2.Plan of Correction: The provider sent the request for the central registry check the day she realized she had not obtained the check.
