HB1823 adds ? 22.1-289.058 to the Code of Virginia. This bill requires all licensed child day programs and religiously exempt child day centers, certified preschools, family day system homes and certain other programs that serve preschool-age children operating in a building built before 2015 to be equipped with at least one carbon monoxide detector.
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contact, document review, and an interview with the provider.
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 8/30/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 12 children present, ranging in ages from four months to four years of age, with the provider and her assistant supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical health of caregivers, physical environment and equipment, care of children, preventing the spread of disease, medication administration, emergencies, nutrition and transportation. A total of two child records and two caregiver records were reviewed and in compliance.
The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued. If you have further questions about this inspection please contact Donna Liberman at 540-359-5244 or Donna.Liberman@doe.virginia.gov.
A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.
The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information.
