Technical Assistance:
A working carbon monoxide detector is required to be in all family day homes.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews (if applicable) and a virtual tour of the program (if applicable).

A monitoring inspection was initiated on October 18, 2021 and concluded on October 19, 2021. The provider was contacted and an inspection was conducted. There were 7 children present, ranging in ages from 1 month to 4 years with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Childrens records and 4 household member records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-180-A
Description: Based on review of four household member records, three do not contain documentation of a current report of a Tuberculosis (TB) screening.
Evidence
The record for household members # 1,2,and 3 do not contain documentation of a current report of TB screening. Documentation in each record is expired.

Plan of Correction: Household members will go have their TB screening done and I will put the documentation in each record.
