Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews (if applicable) and a virtual tour of the program (if applicable).

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 10-25-21 and concluded on 10-26-21. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 6 children present, ranging in ages from 10mths to 3yrs, with 1 provider supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 1 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-111-570-A
Description: Based on observations and discussions with the provider, the provider failed to ensure compliance with this standard as required relating to allowable points per provider.

EVIDENCE:
There were 6 children present during the inspection. The ages in care were as follows:
10 month old, 14 month old, 18 month old, 22 month old, and two 3 year olds totaling 18 points with only one provider. Each provider may only have, at maximum, 16 points.

Plan of Correction: Enrollment/children in care will be adjusted to ensure that there are no more than 16 points in care, unless there is an assistant present.
