Technical Assistance:
8VAC 20-800-180.A The provider shall obtain for each caregiver and adult household member a current Report of Tuberculosis Screening form, in accordance with the requirements in 22 VAC 40-111-170, every two years from the date of the first screening or more frequently as recommended by a physician or the local health department.
This Standard was reviewed with the provider with a reminder that it is the provider's responsibility to ensure that caregivers and household members obtain tuberculosis screening as required.

22VAC40-191-(BC)-50-A satisfactory background checks required.
The department and registering and approving authorities must require documentation of satisfactory background checks for applicants, agents, employees, volunteers, and others living in family day homes and foster and adoptive homes as specified in 22VAC40-191-40. foster and adoptive homes as specified in 22VAC40-191-40.
The above background check regulation was discussed with the provider with a reminder that it is the provider's responsibility to ensure that sworn disclosure statement or affirmation forms are completed by household members.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the family day home.

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 10/20/2021 and concluded on 10/27/2021. The provider was contacted by email to initiate the inspection. There were 11 children present, totaling 22 points, and 2 caregivers. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 3 caregiver/household records, along with any requested program records submitted by the provider to determine if required documentation was complete.

The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
