Technical Assistance:

Discussion of the new requirement for having at least one carbon monoxide detectors in a building (built before 2015) that houses a licensed child day program that serves preschool-age children. The Family Day Home (FDH) has not yet fully complied with this requirement. The Provider stated that the device will be installed. Comments:

A monitoring inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews, and a virtual tour of the program. This inspection was initiated and concluded on 11/18/2021. The Provider was contacted and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 5 children present, ranging from 3 months to 3 years in age, with 2 caregivers supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration; physical plant; staffing and supervision; programming; special care and emergencies; and nutrition. A total of 5 children records, 2 household records, and 2 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined that there was a non-compliance with an applicable standard. This violation was documented on the Violation Notice issued to the program. Description:	Based on review, 1 of 5 children records determined that not all of the required information/documentation was contained within each child's file. Evidence - 1. On the date of inspection (11/18/2021), the Policy for the Administration of Medication form was not available for review for Child #4. 2. This was confirmed on the date of inspection by the Provider.
