Technical Assistance:
The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the Virginia Department of Social Services. Guidance, resources and training links can be found on the new website childcareva.com. The violations listed on the Supplemental page reflect the new VDOE codes and standards.

Consultation given on Child Care Stabilization Grant, obtaining CPS checks (Please send documentation within 10 days that verify the checks were sent to Richmond) and model forms.

Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.

A monitoring inspection was conducted on 12/2/2021. The director/provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There was one child present with the provider supervising (3 points). The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. The child's record, TB screenings (will need to renew by the end of the month), background checks and emergency training verification was reviewed. Lunch served today was chicken, mashed potatoes and fruit. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Feel free to contact me if you need any assistance.
