This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 11/30/2021 and concluded on 12/03/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were seven children present with two caregivers supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of two child records, two caregivers' records, and one household member's records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-180-A Description: Based on a review of records and interview, the provider did not obtain for one caregiver a current report of tuberculosis (TB) screening every two years from the date of the first screening or more frequently as recommended by a physician or the local health department.
Evidence: 1) The most recent TB screening in the record for Caregiver #2 was dated 10/14/2018. A subsequent TB screening should have been obtained by 10/14/2020.
2) During interview, the provider acknowledged the subsequent TB screening for Caregiver #2 was not obtained every two years.Plan of Correction: Caregiver #2 obtained an updated TB screening on 12/01/2021.
