Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on 1/6/22. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 5 children (6 points) present with 1 caregiver supervising. The children were observed engaged in free play. The provider has an abundance of books and toys for children to use. First aid supplies and emergency drill records were reviewed. 1 caregiver, 2 household member and 2 children's records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. For any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at mahrukh.aziz@doe.virginia.gov or 571-835-4718.

Evidence:
1. Household Member # 1 turned 14 years on 2/7/21.
2. The provider stated that she had mailed the VA central registry form but never got the results. The provider did not conduct a follow up either.

Plan of Correction: A new form will be submitted and a follow up will be conducted with the licensing inspector within 10 days of this inspection.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-280
Description: Based on observation, potentially poisonous supplies such as cleaning agents and deodorizers were not stored in areas inaccessible to children.
Evidence: A disinfectant bottle and spray air freshener was found stored in an unlocked cabinet under the sink in the bathroom that was used by the children.

Plan of Correction: The items were removed and stored in a locked cabinet during the inspection.
