Technical Assistance:
Effective September 1, 2021 all licensed child day programs are required to be equipped with at least one carbon monoxide detector.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 01/11/2022 from 12:09 pm - 1:30 pm. At the time of entrance there were nine children in care with two caregivers. The ages of the children counted for a total of 22 points. Children were observed during nap. The assistant was observed feeding one infant a bottle.
Records were reviewed for two caregivers, two household members and seven children.
One violation was observed and is listed on the violation notice.

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-530-B
Description: Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure that cribs when being used by infants shall have a tight-fitting bottom cover.

Evidence:
The crib sheet placed on the crib was loose fitting.

Plan of Correction: The provider stated that new crib sheets would be ordered this evening.
