This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts and documents review.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 1/24/2022 and concluded on 1/24/2022. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 2 children present, with 1 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records and 1 staff record were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-830-A Description: Based on review of emergency drills, fire drills were not practiced monthly.
Evidence:
There was no documentation to verify that an evacuation drill was practiced in September 2021.Plan of Correction: I believe the note on the document was written as a mistake. Two fire drills were recorded for September.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-90-C Description: Based on record review, the Family Day Home did not obtain documentation of additional immunizations once every six months for a child under the age of two years.
Evidence:
Child #2's record contains an immunization record that was last updated on 2/2/2021.Plan of Correction: Child's record will be updated.
