Technical assistance on children and household records.

A renewal inspection conducted on February 28, 2022. There were 7 children present directly supervised by 3 staff. The children were observed in free play inside the home and feeding. The interactions between the children and caregivers were seen to be positive and constructive in nature.
Limited monitoring of child care requirements occurred during today?s visit. Licensing inspector monitored supervision of children, physical plant, staff/child ratios, adequate and approved space, programming, and nutrition. The inspector reviewed on two child?s record, one staff record, and two household records.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-100-B Description: Based on children records review, the provider did not obtain physical examination prior to attendance.
Evidence:
1. Child #1 (date of enrollment 8/30/2021) did not have written documentation of a physical examination in record available for review during the inspection.
2. Child #2 (date of enrollment 8/23/2021) did not have written documentation of a physical examination in record available for review during the inspection.Plan of Correction: Parents will provide physical examination records after the childrens' next doctor's appointments.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-60-B Description: Based on children records review, the provider did not obtain name, address and telephone number of two designated persons to contact in case of an emergency if the parent cannot be reached.
Evidence:
1. Child #1 had only one emergency contact information listed. The child record requires two designated persons to contact in case of an emergency if the parent cannot be reached.Plan of Correction: Parent has now provided a second emergency contact.
