Technical Assistance:

The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the Virginia Department of Social Services. The violations listed below reflect the new VDOE codes and standards. Comments:

An in person monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 4 children (12 points) with one caregiver present. 4 child records and 5 household member records were reviewed. See Violation Notice for non-compliances. Bathroom supplies, fridge temperature, emergency evacuation drills and posted documents were all in compliance. Description:	Based on a review of records, household member records do not contain documentation of repeated background checks within the 5 year allowable time frame. Description:	Based on a review of records, child records do not contain current written acknowledgment of policies and procedures. Evidence: 2 of 4 records reviewed did not contain the correct address for the relocation destination in the event of an emergency, disclosed in the Emergency Preparedness Plan. The address written on the Provisions of the Emergency Preparedness Plan for the destination of the relocation is not the correct address. (Children #1, 2) (model form provided)

Description:	Based on observation, the diaper disposal container is not foot operated. Evidence: The foot operated diaper disposal container is broken.
