Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today in person at 130 pm. There were 11 children (33 points) directly supervised by 3 staff. The home, 3 staff records, 6 children?s records, 1 household member?s record, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were reviewed/inspected. There were no medications on site today but the Provider is current in MAT and CPR/First Aid. Children were observed playing freely and sleeping. Diapering procedures were also observed. There was a supply of books, toys, and materials for the children and age appropriate equipment for the toddlers and infants. The home was clean and the files were kept in an organized manner. The staff have attended several workshops in the last year and were able to answer questions about the children in care. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector

Violations:
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-540-B
Description: Based on observation, it was determined an infant walker was used in the home.
Evidence:
1. The Inspector observed the walker in the room with the young toddlers and infants.
2. The Provider stated that she has the wheels locked when in use.

Plan of Correction: Removed during the inspection and will be discarded.

Standard #: 8VAC20-820-120-E-2
Description: Based on record review and observation, it was determined the Provider did not have the findings of the most recent inspection posted.
Evidence:
1. The last Inspection resulted in no violations but the Inspection was not up on the board.
2. The Provider stated she had the license and the most recent inspection upstairs with the files because she had an interview with a perspective family just the other day.

Plan of Correction: I will be sure to post this one.
