The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) assumed oversight of child care licensing and
monitoring on July 1, 2021. All associated regulations and codes have transferred over from the
Virginia Department of Social Services. Guidance, resources and training links can be found on the new website: childcareva.com.
The violation on the Supplemental page reflect the new VDOE codes and standards.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. A total of 5 children (15pts) with the Provider and 1 Assistant were present. The children were napping when the Licensing Inspector arrived. Children were observed napping on mats and cribs. The home was well kept, staff were observed interacting with one child who was not napping. No medication needs identified, no food allergies at this time and only one topical ointment onsite. A total of all 5 children's records, both staff and 1 household member record were reviewed. Thank you for your cooperation today. Please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.

2. Child #4 began care on 10/25/2021, a health exam has not been obtained.

A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.
The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
