Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on 03/23/2022 and concluded on 03/29/2022. There were 12 children present with 2 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-410-A-3
Description: Based on documentation review and interview with the provider, it was determined that lockdown procedures were not practiced at least annually.
Evidence:
1) On the date of inspection, the 2021 emergency drills log provided for review, did not have a lockdown drill documented. 2) The provider stated that a lockdown drill was not conducted.

Plan of Correction: The lockdown drill for 2022 was conducted on 03/21/2022.
