A renewal inspection was conducted on 04/05/2022. There were 3 children present, with 1 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. Standard #: 8VAC20-770-60-C-2 Description: Based on review of two caregiver records, one caregiver did not have a current central registry finding.
Evidence:
The record for caregiver #2 contains a central registry finding that expired 4/7/20.Plan of Correction: CPS was submitted on 3/11/22. We are waiting on results. In the future I will submit it before it expires. I will follow-up after 30 days if not received.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-50-A Description: Based on review of general record keeping, the provider did not have a written record of children in attendance each day.
Evidence:
Attendance record available was dated January 2022.Plan of Correction: Provider stated that she has the daily attendance, but her daughter took it with her. In the future, I will make sure the daily attendance is always on site and up-to-date.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-180-A Description: Based on review of two caregiver records, one did not contain a current Report of Tuberculosis (TB) Screening form, every two years from the date of the first screening.
Evidence:
The record for Caregiver #1 contained a TB screening form that expired 1/18/20.Plan of Correction: TB screening was already completed, awaiting the results. In the future I will get my TB test done before it expires.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-340-C Description: Based on observation of bathroom paper towels were not available.
Evidence:
During inspection there were no paper towels available.Plan of Correction: The children use individual towels that are labeled with their name.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-510-C Description: Based on observation of cribs, not all cribs were labeled for individual use.
Evidence:
Cribs were not labeled with child's name for individual use.Plan of Correction: I will make sure all cribs are labeled with child's name.
Standard #: 8VAC20-800-690-D Description: Based on observation of diapering surface there was no sanitizing solution available to sanitize diapering surface.
Evidence:
During inspection no sanitizing solution was available.Plan of Correction: Bleach solution was made and corrected during inspection. In the future I will make sure I have bleach solution bottles prepared.
