Technical Assistance:
Inspector has encouraged the provider to mesmerize and practice the code for opening the medication lockbox to ensure accessibility during a potential emergency.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring/renewal inspection was conducted today between 10:15am and 11:15am. There were 2 children present with the Provider for a total of 4 points within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed playing quietly and independently with blocks and a play farm/house. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, children and staff records, menu, attendance and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-720-A
Description: Based on observation, nonprescription medication was not labeled with a child's name.
Evidence: Child #1 has emergency medication kept at the family day home.

Plan of Correction: Corrected during the inspection.
