Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 5/12/22 at 10:15am. There were 10 children (24 points) directly supervised by 3 caregivers. The home, 3 caregiver records, 2 children's records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed playing freely inside the play room and participating in educational activities. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. Description: Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that medication was kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence: observed in the provider's first aid kit, several packets of aspirin.

Description: Based on review, the provider did not ensure that the parents were provided in writing the policies for the administration of medication.
Evidence: reviewed 2 children's records and found that both were missing documentation of the provider's medication policy.

Description: Based on review, the provider did not ensure that subsequent tuberculosis screenings were completed every two years from the date of the first screening or more frequently as recommended.
Evidence: reviewed 3 caregiver records and found that 2, (caregivers 1 and 2) did not have documentation of subsequent TB screenings.
