54.1 Provider must be MAT certified to administer prescription medication.

Technical Assistance:
Provided consultation on standard:
1) 480D - equipment used by children shall be used in accordance with manufacturer's instructions (for example, if the product has straps, they must be used)
2) 500 F - trampolines shall not be used during the hours children are in care
3) 550A - play pens shall not be used for the designated sleeping area, contain any pillows or filled comforters, or contain large toys and other objects that can serve as a stepping stool

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted from 10:30 - 11:00 am with the provider. There were no child care children in care during the inspection, however, one child is enrolled. One child's record, one caregiver record and the attendance record were reviewed and in compliance. Required information was posted. A crib was observed and it meets CPSC requirements (manufactured in 2015). Additional play equipment and materials were observed for children age 3 months to two years. The provider is not Medication Administration Training (MAT) certified and cannot administer medication to children in care.
